shown above are the
mission patches/emblems of the first 3 Space Shuttle Flights
which are typical of the cachets on these covers.
NotesCachets issued by a stamp club or a dealer are so identified. If additional text is on the cachet it will be noted or if any other cachet is on the cover it will also be described. The STS number is listed in the description for all the Shuttle Flights, the early covers do not have this number printed on the cachet, however it may be printed on the cachet issued by the stamp clubs that issued the later covers. Many of the Shuttle mission patches/emblems do not list the name of the orbiter but they all give the names of the astronauts, with the exception of the Shuttle/Mir Program Insignia Patches, which do not list any astronaut names. The name of the Shuttle orbiter is provided in all the of the cover descriptions below, whether on the cachet or not. All covers have a multicolored printed cachet unless otherwise noted. The majority of these covers are for the launch, however many are for the landing of the Shuttle and a few covers have double cancels for the launch and Landing. All covers are the standard U.S. size (number 6), as collected in the USA, unless otherwise noted. All covers are unaddressed unless otherwise noted. If covers are autographed they are genuine. Please print out the ON-LINE ORDER FORM and use it to mark down the covers you need. When ordering, please mark the LIST ID as well as ITEM ID. TMSC = Titusville Moonport Stamp Club. Abbreviations |
