USS HORNET, AUTOGRAPHED APOLLO 11 PRIME RECOVERY SHIP for the first Moonlanding Flight of Astronauts Armstrong, Aldrin & Collins, 07/24/1969, with a light machine AM cancel (cancel is light and just readable) on a 6 cent Apollo 8 stamp (#1371), with purple Navy rubber stamp cachet for the Apollo 11 recovery. Cover is autographed and inscribed:"T. Paine, Administration-NASA", (Thomas Paine, was the NASA Administrator at the time of the Apollo 11 flight). Cover is also autographed by a USS Hornet Navy man "Dennis L.E. Angson" but his job function in unknown.

USS HORNET,AUTOGRAPHED APOLLO 11 PRIME RECOVERY SHIP for the first Moonlanding Flight of Astronauts Armstrong, Aldrin & Collins, 07/24/1969, with a machine cancel on the 5 cent pair of Gemini stamps showing an astronaut walking in space & the Gemini capsule (#1331-32) cancel is unreadable except for the "CVS-12" indentification of the USS Hornet, since it falls entirely on the dark blue portion of the Gemini stamps, with purple Navy rubber stamp cachet for the Apollo 11 recovery. Cover is autographed"P.R. Bell", (The Doctor who was the geologist in charge of the lunar rock program which studied the rocks brought back by the Apollo 11 astronauts). There is a filler card sealed inside of this cover.

Small rubber stamp address. (there is some bleedthrough of the gummed seams to the front of the envelope).

Airmail barberpole envelope, unaddressed but with a small stain where the peelable address label was (which can be easily covered with your own address label).

This is a #10 business size envelope.
