Apollo 11 Flight with HERITAGE CRAFTS printed cachets

Notes APOLLO 11 was the first manned flight to the Moon where astronauts touched down and set foot on the Moon. The astronauts on this flight were: Neil Armstrong, the Commander, Michael Collins, the Command Module Pilot and Edwin (Buzz) Aldrin, the Lunar Module Pilot. Astronauts Armstrong was the first man to set foot on the Moon and Aldrin followed him. Highlight of this mission was the first successful manned moonlanding. The astronauts unveiled a plaque on the lunar module leg that read "Here Men From Planet Earth First Set Foot Upon the Moon. July 1969 A.D. We Came In Peace For All Mankind" HERITAGE CRAFTS cachets were produced by Dave Ouelette who worked at the Kennedy Space Center Florida for one of the Space Contractors and they exist for all the the manned Apollo flights, Apollo 7 through Apollo 17. There were two different cachets prepared for the Apollo 11 flight, a space cachet featuring President John F. Kennedy and a space cachet featurning Dr. Wernher von Braun. The Kennedy cachet DOES NOT have the Heritage Crafts name identified in the design however the von Braun cachet DOES. These two cachets are entirely different from the basic HERITAGE CRAFTS cachets produced for the Apollo 7 through 10 and 12 through 17 flights. The only other Apollo 11 cachet that comes closest to the basic HERITAGE CRAFTS cachet is those issued by DOW-UNICOVER, which were also distributed by HERITAGE CRAFTS.
