This list contains all types of covers for air and space events, such as space manned flights, space recoveries from ships, satellite launches, space anniversaries, special air flights and balloon events, etc.

Notes

  • All covers are the number 6 size unless otherwise noted.
  • All covers are unaddressed unless otherwise noted.
  • All covers are cacheted unless otherwise noted and a description is given so you know exactly what you are ordering.
  • Where stamp(s) used on the cover are significant such as being a space stamp or a flag stamp or related to the event or location, they will be described. Otherwise the stamp(s) used on the cover may be a definitive or an unrelated issue.
  • All autographs are genuine.
  • Covers are not listed in any particular order.
  • When ordering, it is IMPORTANT that you order by LIST ID AS WELL AS ITEM ID. Please use the ORDER FORM.

Partial text notes that the Enterprise was named by the thousands of Star-Trek fans.

Cover has a FMF Local Post imperforate 10 cent stamp, in black on goldenrod paper, showing Astronaut planting flag on on moon (same design as in the pictorial cancel), Lopo stamp has a word cancel that reads "first day of issue, FMF Travel Local Post", cover also has a one line red rubber stamp word cachet that reads: "Hometown - Astronaut Neil Armstrong". APOLLO 14 MOONLANDING, with a space pictorial machine cancel of Kennedy Space Center FL on a 8 cent Apollo 8 space stamp (#1371), with a two color printed cachet by SPACE CRAFT COVERS CACHETS (by Swanson) for this event, showing a drawing of an astronaut exploring the Moon with the Modular Equipment Transporter (a cart to cary the things they need while on the Moon), another astronaut and the lunar module are in the background, and with appropriate text. (Cover comes with filler card about the Fra Mauro Area, the moon landing site). (NOTE: SPACE CRAFT COVERS CACHETS with the Kennedy Space Center cancel after the launch date are more scarce than for launch covers).

APOLLO 12 LAUNCH, COVER MADE FROM AN APOLLO MISSION TRACKING CHART, Houston TX machine cancel on Apollo 8 space stamp (#1371). With a blue and white NASA MANNED SPACECRAFT CENTER STAMP CLUB printed label cachet, with text "NASA Manned Spacecraft Stamp Club Official Commemorative Cover, APOLLO XII, Second Manned Lunar Landing Expedition", and shows two sailing ships: the Intreprid and the Yankee Clipper (which are the names of the Apollo spacecrafts), with additional text: "This cover is a section of an Apollo Mission Tracking Chart". The entire cover (with the exception of the label) is made from a colored NASA chart that shows Earth features and orbital lines of an apollo spacecraft, no two covers are exactly alike.
